The Immigrant Legal Defense Fund provides direct legal aid to people facing abuse and discrimination for the immigration system. Especially this year, their work is invaluable in helping people get the protections and legal status that they deserve.

Donate to support Wessam and his family

Mohammad, Hadeel, and Wessam el Sabea are a family living in Gaza, surviving the under the dual threats of war and famine. Organizers in Bloomington have been raising money and remained in contact with them for much of the war. A donation goes directly to them to buy critical supplies.

Donate to support Heba and her 21 family members

Organizers in Bloomington have been fundraising to support Heba and her family. Heba’s family consists of 21 people, including children and elderly. She wrote, “This campaign is more than a plea for financial assistance; it is a call for empathy, understanding, and solidarity. We seek not just donations but a connection with hearts and souls who stand with us in our gravest hour. Essentials like clean water and food are now luxuries we can scarcely afford. In these dire times, your contribution becomes more than aid; it transforms into a beacon of hope.”

Bears Ears is a landscape that is important to both of us. It was an issue that Tim worked on during his time in legislative work, and visiting in 2021 ranks among the best memories that Jess and Tim have together. The region is under a lot of pressure from neglectful federal management and overcrowding. The Bears Ears Inter-Tribal Coalition is an indigenous lead non-profit that supports responsible stewardship.
